Homemade Poultry Seasoning Substitute

This homemade poultry seasoning substitute recipe has the same incredible flavor of classic poultry seasoning and is just as good as any store-bought version. It's crafted using an aromatic blend of simple dried herbs and takes just 5 minutes to make!

Equipment

Ingredients
 

  • 2 tablespoons ground sage
  • 2 tablespoons dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Pinch ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a spice grinder or small food processor.
  • Pulse until finely ground and well blended.
  • Transfer to a small airtight jar.

Notes

  • Use in soups, stews, vegan “chicken” recipes, tofu scrambles, roasted vegetables, gravies, and stuffing.
  • Grind well for the best texture.
  • This recipe makes about ⅓ cup.
