Creamy Homemade Vegan Chipotle Mayo

Rich, creamy, and full of smoky, spicy flavor, my homemade Vegan Chipotle Mayo is out of this world! It's easy to make and only requires 2 simple ingredients. It's the perfect spicy sauce for slathering on your favorite sandwiches, mixing into dressings, or using as a tasty dip.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup vegan mayo
  • 1 tablespoon chipotle puree (other options: whole chipotle peppers and ground chipotle powder)

Instructions

  • Add the vegan mayonnaise and 1 tablepsoon of chipotle puree to a mixing bowl.
  • Whisk together until the chipotle puree is evenly distributed throughout the mayo.
  • Taste and add more chipotle if desired.
  • Store your vegan chipotle mayo in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

  1. Ingredient Quality: Use quality ingredients for the best vegan chipotle mayo.
  2. Adjusting Heat: Start with a small amount of chipotle puree and gradually add more. This way, you can customize the heat to your liking.
  3. Chipotle Puree Substitutes
    • Adobo Sauce: Use a few teaspoons from a can of chipotle peppers
    • Whole Chipotle Pepper: Blend a half of a chipotle pepper (from a can of chipotle in adobo) directly into the mayo using a blender or food processor 
    • Ground Chipotle Powder
    • Smoked Paprika and Hot Sauce: Mix these in to mimic the smoky and spicy flavor
