This homemade strawberry almond milk is a creamy, naturally sweet, and refreshing dairy-free alternative! Made with real strawberries, unsweetened almond milk, and a touch of coconut sugar, it’s free from artificial flavors. Enjoy it chilled, in smoothies, or poured over your favorite cereal!
2cupsfresh or frozen strawberries(hulled and sliced)
2tablespoonswater
¼cupcoconut sugar
2cupsunsweetened almond milk
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Pinchof salt(optional)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine strawberries, water, and coconut sugar. Cook over medium-low heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once they are soft lightly mash the strawberries to release more juice.
Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing to extract all the liquid. I just use the back of a spoon or a rubber spatula. Discard the remaining seeds.
Transfer the strained strawberry syrup to a large jar or bottle. Add the almond milk and vanilla extract, then seal with a top and shake to combine.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Shake well before drinking and enjoy!
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with other types of plant based milk.
If you don't have a strainer you can also use cheescloth.
Keep in mind the nutritional information is an estimate. It will vary based on the almond milk you use and how much sugar you add.
